Future publications – an update August 2024
The Florin Press has some exciting projects in the pipeline, in 2024 we will be publishing two new publications by Nigel Tattersfield.
Bewick Bookplates – a Late Harvest
Bewick Bookplates – a Late Harvest. This book was completely revised with the appearance of important new material. The much expanded book with over sixty illustrations, is now published and available from our shop.
From Bewick to Botany Bay. The text and illustrations are complete, and has been designed and typeset.

Engravings from Bewick’s Aesop
In January 2023 we started to print from 50 of the original woodblocks for Engravings from Bewick’s Aesop.
Volume one – Fifty of the original woodblocks have now been printed on superb handmade by the Paper Foundation. The last few pages of the introductory text have just been completed. This will be accompanied by Volume two – 73 pages of extensively illustrated notes to the fifty blocks, which will soon be in production.

Make-ready – An essential skill for wood engravers and letterpress printers. The latest in a series about fine printing and woodblocks. The text and illustrations of both the make-readies and prints of blocks by eleven different artists is now at the printers and will be published on 14th November 2024.
